How 'bout them angels

Man... I was really rooting for another Angels World Series victory like they had 3 years ago. 3 years ago was so much fun as I watched all 7 World Series games in Downtown Disney with 10,000 other fans crowded around 3 giant jumbotron screens. It was such a high energy celebration.

The Angels were off to a great start this year. 3 games on 3 consecutive days in 3 different cities and 3 victories - First in New York, then in Anaheim, then in Chicago. The last victory in Chicago no one expected them to win since they were so road weary, but they proved everyone wrong. Then comes the second game in Chicago. 1-1 in the bottom of the 9th inning, 2 outs, and the umpire makes a stupid call on strike 3 that put a man on first instead of ending the inning. Every replay, and every television announcer clearly stated that the ump made the wrong call. The next batter hit the ball to allow the White Sox to win. The umps call gave the White Sox the victory instead of allowing a fair battle in extra innings. No one knows who really should have won that game, but the unfair loss in Chicago sank their spirits. The Angels then went on to lose 3 in a row in Anaheim to give the White Sox the American League championship. I guess this year isn't their year this time. Maybe next.

(As I'm writing this, there is a cool lightening stom going on outside. :)
