Big surprise!

I received the following letter in the mail today: "After thoroughly reviewing and discussing your photograph, I am pleased to inform you that our Selection Committee has advanced your contest entry, 'A moment alone,' to semi-finalist in the People category in the International Open Amateur Photography Contest. Your photo will now be automatically entered into final competition to be held in the Fall of 2006...."

On a whim, I submitted this photograph in the contest and it has done far better that I would have ever thought. Who knew.
